Mr Mohammad Zahrin Abdullah

Mr Mohammad Zahrin Abdullah is a Manager in Religious Talent Development at the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS), where he supports research and policy development on talent management for Singapore’s asatizah sector. His work focuses on developing and evaluating talent development frameworks, contributing to asatizah manpower studies, and supporting research to strengthen workforce capability and long-term sector sustainability.Prior to joining MUIS, Mr Zahrin served at SG Enable, where he partnered employers to advance disability-inclusive employment and workplace practices. He worked closely with organisations to build inclusive hiring capabilities, improve workplace accessibility, and strengthen employment opportunities for persons with disabilities. He also spent over a decade with Yayasan MENDAKI and MENDAKI SENSE, leading education, youth development, and community engagement initiatives that contributed to the advancement of the Malay/Muslim community in Singapore. His work spanned programme innovation, stakeholder engagement, and strategic partnerships to strengthen educational and social outcomes. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Malay/Muslim Consumer Behaviour at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). His research interests span workforce development, talent management, inclusive employment, consumer behaviour, and labour policy, with a particular interest in how evidence-based research can inform policy and strengthen organisations and communities.
